5 days is totally normal! My first booking took 11 days and I was checking obsessively too. Here's what helped me: - **Turn on Instant Book.** Airbnb's algorithm heavily favors Instant Book listings. I know it feels scary but you can still set requirements (verified ID, positive reviews, etc.) - **Lower your minimum stay to 1 night** for the first month. You want ANY booking to start the review clock. - **New Listing promotion** — make sure "New listing discount" is toggled on in your pricing settings. It gives you 20% off the first 3 bookings and Airbnb surfaces new listings with discounts. - **Share the listing link** on your personal social media. Even one booking from a friend-of-a-friend gets you that critical first review. Denver is competitive but the demand is strong. You'll be fine!

Took me 3 weeks for my first one. Then I got 4 bookings the next week. It's super lumpy at the start. One trick: go back and check the "Listing Quality" score on your Airbnb dashboard. They flag specific things like missing amenities checkboxes, no house rules, or photos that are too dark. Fixing those items can bump your search ranking.

The best thing I did was ask a friend to be my first guest. They paid the Airbnb rate, I gave them a great experience, and they left me a 5-star review. That single review unlocked the algorithm for me. After that, bookings started coming in naturally.
