Head-to-head comparison · Updated July 2026
Beds24 vs Hospitable
Both are inexpensive. One is free with a modern interface; the other is nearly free with the widest OTA reach in this comparison. Here’s the real trade-off.
The cheapest full-featured PMS in the market — from ~$1/property/month with 60+ OTA integrations
Automation-first PMS with a free unlimited-property plan
The quick verdict
Hospitable (88/100) beats Beds24 (78/100) mainly on usability — Beds24 scored just 6/10 on ease of use, the lowest of any PMS in this comparison series, reflecting its famously utilitarian, dated interface. Beds24’s case is coverage and cost: 60+ OTA integrations (more than any PMS in our testing) and pricing from roughly $1.20/property/month, with a built-in booking engine and payment processing included. If you want the absolute lowest cost and widest channel reach and don’t mind a learning curve, Beds24 is hard to beat on paper. If you want something that feels modern from day one, Hospitable wins clearly.
…you’re comfortable with a utilitarian interface and want the lowest possible per-property cost with the widest OTA reach.
…you want a modern, guided interface from day one and you’re mainly on Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com rather than niche regional OTAs.

The full breakdown
6 dimensions that actually decide which tool fits, based on running both on real listings.
01Pricing & value for money
It’s a tieBoth scored a strong 10/10 on value — for very different reasons.
Beds24’s Basic plan runs about $1.20 per property per month — genuinely the cheapest full-featured PMS we’ve reviewed — with Full adding advanced reporting, upsells and API access for roughly $2.40/property/month. No contracts, no setup fees, no per-user charges. It scored a perfect 10/10 on value for money.
Hospitable’s Essentials plan is free for unlimited properties and also scored 10/10 on value. At true scale, Beds24’s per-property fee could theoretically edge past free — but Hospitable’s free tier is capped to core automation features, while Beds24’s low fee includes a built-in booking engine with payment processing. Both are legitimately excellent value; the better one depends on which specific features you need.
- ~$1.20/property/month (Basic)
- ~$2.40/property/month (Full, adds API access)
- Booking engine + payments included
- Essentials: FREE, unlimited properties
- Direct booking sites are a separate paid tier
- No API access at all on free plan
02OTA & channel coverage
Winner: Beds24Beds24 connects to 60+ OTAs — more than any other PMS in this comparison series.
Beds24’s biggest genuine differentiator is breadth: 60+ OTA integrations, including regional and niche platforms that competitors miss entirely. For hosts distributing beyond the big three (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com) onto regional Asian, European or niche booking sites, Beds24’s reach is unmatched among the PMS platforms we’ve reviewed.
Hospitable covers the major channels (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Agoda, Google) thoroughly but doesn’t attempt Beds24’s long-tail regional coverage.
03Ease of use & interface
Winner: HospitableBeds24’s 6/10 usability is the trade-off for its rock-bottom price.
Beds24’s interface is functional but genuinely dated — its own review describes it as utilitarian, with a real learning curve and largely self-serve onboarding on lower plans. It scored 6/10 on usability and 6/10 on setup, the lowest combination among the budget PMS platforms we’ve compared against Hospitable.
Hospitable’s 9/10 usability and 8/10 setup reflect a modern, guided experience — most hosts are productive within hours, not days. If interface friction is something you’ll feel every week, this dimension should weigh heavily.
04Direct booking engine
Winner: Beds24Beds24 bundles a booking engine with payments at no extra cost; Hospitable prices it separately.
Beds24 includes a direct booking engine with payment processing built into its base price — no additional subscription required. For cost-conscious hosts who want to reduce OTA commission dependency without a second tool, that’s real value packed into an already-cheap plan.
Hospitable’s direct booking tools (Lite, Basic, Premium) are capable but layered on top of the core PMS price, with Premium carrying a 4% guest + 3% host fee and regional availability limits.
05Data export & API access
Winner: Beds24Beds24’s API access and reporting beat Hospitable’s limited data portability.
Beds24’s Full plan includes API access for custom integrations and workflow automation, and scored well on data portability in our testing — a notable strength for a budget tool. Hospitable’s data portability is its most-cited weakness, with deeper reporting and exports still requiring third-party tools.
06Support & onboarding
Winner: HospitableHospitable offers more guided support; Beds24 is largely self-serve on lower plans.
Beds24’s onboarding support is limited on its Basic plan — you’re largely self-serve for setup, which compounds the learning-curve challenge from its dated interface. Hospitable scored 8/10 on support with more proactive chat and email coverage, better suited to hosts who want guidance rather than documentation.

Which one should you choose?
Choose Beds24 if…
- You want the lowest possible per-property cost, even below Hospitable’s paid tiers
- You distribute across 60+ OTAs, including regional or niche platforms
- A built-in booking engine with payments matters and you don’t want a separate fee
- API access and strong data portability are important to you
- You don’t mind a dated, utilitarian interface and self-serve setup
Choose Hospitable if…
- You want a modern, easy interface from day one
- You’re mainly on Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com — you don’t need 60+ OTA reach
- You want to start completely free with unlimited properties
- Guided support matters more to you than DIY setup
- A native mobile app and automated messaging are priorities
The bottom line
Beds24 and Hospitable both solve for cost-conscious hosts, but in almost opposite ways. Beds24 strips the price down to nearly nothing and channels the savings into raw capability — 60+ OTAs, a bundled booking engine, real API access — at the cost of a dated, self-serve experience. Hospitable makes the entry tier free and spends its effort on a modern, guided interface with strong automation.
Our scores (Hospitable 88, Beds24 78) mostly reflect the usability gap — Beds24’s 6/10 is the lowest in this series. But its value score ties Hospitable’s at 10/10, and for hosts distributing widely across niche OTAs or wanting a built-in booking engine without a separate fee, Beds24’s trade-offs are easy to justify.
